Start immediately, don’t procrastinate. Usually it takes longer than you think (~15 days or more) to set up a fish tank, balance the water, then get the fishes in batches as the fish store would allow you so.
Get a minimum of 9 fish, of which 2 must be white, 2 must be black, and the rest can be red or other colors.
Inexpensive fish will do. No need for fancy fish.
Understand that it’s okay for fishes to die. When fishes die, they take away Yin Qi. Immediately add new fish to bring the total number back to 9 fish.
Do not take dead fish back to the fish store for refund. Fish died to help balance our energy, so it should be on our account not on other’s.
